Had to share a couple of these darling photos of two sisters that I did at a secret spot I found near my house. While it wouldn’t look like much to people driving by I immediately knew that the unkept landscape would add personality and depth to portraits. The Matilda Jane clothing that i have on hand at the studio worked perfectly in creating these beautiful photos! I love finding little hidden treasures like this.

This is my precious niece Britni- it is so hard to believe that she will be getting married this summer.  Where did the time go?  It just seemed like yesterday that she was dancing around in my living room with her other cousins, singing a Faith Hill song, that was the year that I had just gotten my video camera for Christmas and I taped EVERYTHING back then (lots of blackmail videos!!)  She came to visit last weekend so that I could take she and Alex’s engagment pictures.  She is just stunning to me and I love her so much- I was so sad when she left and went back to Fort Worth.

As promised here are a few of my precious girls.  I look at these pictures and compare them to one year ago and I cannot believe how much they have changed.  Danielle just had braces put on her teeth a couple of weeks ago, so it was harder for her to smile this time, but she is still beautiful.  I’m very lucky that my girls love their picture taken, they have always been such troopers for me.  Plus I had to play with my new camera!!  One more thing– for those that do not know my girls, Casi has 2 different colored eyes!!  You can really tell in these pictures.

Have you ever met someone that was so shy and sweet, that you just knew that you had to take her picture?  This is one of my daughters friends.  She is so quiet (not that Casi would ever allow anyone to get a word in!) and this age for little girls can be hard.   So we took a little shopping trip, got our hair trimmed and headed out to take some pictures.  Of course my girls got in on the action too (I’ll post their images later).  Sam is unique, not too many people can say that sign language was their first language.  Both her mother and father are deaf.  She was such a doll, a little shy, as she has never had professional pictures taken before, but that is part of what makes her who she is.

Oh my, my little girls have changed so much since this time last year- how can that be?   I took a few pictures of my kids for our Christmas cards- we were very rushed with my sons, but afterwards I took a few of the girls.  They are such troopers when it comes to getting their pictures taken and they are such naturals in front of the camera!  I wanted to do a few outdoor shots, but the weather did not permit- whats up with all of the fog in Houston!!

Anyway, I know that I’m a little partial, but my girls are just so adorable, but then again, I am the Mom!

My Birthday Girl!

My Birthday Girl!

Is this baby precious or what!! This is my dear friend Nancy’s new grandbaby, and I was so privledged to  take her newborn pictures and now her 3 month pictures.  I just love babies- they are so beautiful and innocent- okay, NO it doesn’t make me want a baby!  But it makes me look forward to being a grandmother!!  But in the meantime I will just love everyone else’s sweet babies!

Isn’t she just a doll!!  Although I am not doing much photography these days, one of my friends needed a few shots for Lexxi’s graduation announcements.   Lexxi was not very excited about doing these pictures, but once we got started, she was such a natural in front of the camera.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone in your life.

I just wanted to post a few pictures of her, and a few using my new actions.

Okay, I know, it’s been forever since I posted, BUT if everyone knew how crazy busy June has been for me, then you would totally understand.

My sweet cousin came to visit for Memorial Day weekend and I made sure that I took pictures of his 3 little girls.  It was SO hot outside, and the lighting wasn’t what I would have liked it to been, but I only had this short amount of time, as they were heading back to Fort Worth.

I will be doing some Summer pictures of my girls and and Savannah and Mckinley soon.  I can’t believe that Savannah and Mckinley were here visiting for 3 weeks and I never had the chance!!  Summer is flying by so fast!!

As I watch the bluebonnets slowly fading away, I feel prompted to show a few more pictures of these precious children frolicking in them- of course to please their parents!!

As a proud Texas girl, that has traveled all over the world, I find myself looking around at the Texas landscape.  Texas is not necessarily known for it’s beauty, but there is something about this place that makes you so proud!  There is so much beauty in unexpected places, maybe that’t why it’s so beautiful.   It may be a simple wooden fence, or a barn, that is in much need repair- there is beauty everywhere, if you only look.

My roots are here and of all the places that life has taken me, there is no other place in the world that I would rather be- I’m a southern girl through and through.

I had the opportunity during the Easter holiday to go home.  My heart aches daily to be near my crazy family- even with all of the chaos!

I had a few sessions while home and I just had to post these of my precious Great Nieces.  I literally took almost 250 pictures, and those are the ones that I kept!

It’s funny because I’m a little rusty behind the camera lately.  It’s amazing how much that you forget when you do not do as many photography sessions.  I will admit that I had a great time, and it made me realized that I do need to keep up with this LOVE of mine.  I had so much fun with these little ones, but my legs were so tired!  I haven’t chased 2 year olds in a while!

Which leads me to think about what is it about children that makes me smile?  They are so funny, innocent, truthful, precious, etc.-  I could go on and on!  They constantly remind me of how I need to be as a person.

I am going to post a few- but I could literally post a 100 of my favorites!
